This platform is for the like-minded organizations working in Disaster Risk Reduction and Mamagement in Asia Region. The mission of the Asia Regional DRRM Platform is to foster peer learning, collaboration, and cooperation across the region, building resilience and restoring hope in disaster-affected areas. The platform operates under key principles of friendship, cooperation, mutual trust, respect, and adherence to humanitarian values, including humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. Its main purpose is for members to ensure the practice of international humanitarian principles, share resources for rapid response, and strengthen local capacities in emergencies. It promotes joint initiatives in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, builds networks with various stakeholders, and facilitates cross-border responses with a focus on transparency, accountability, and collaboration in humanitarian efforts.
